Our Activities
Mentoring
Last year we mentored one other FLL team. This year, we helped more than 8 new FLL teams. We started with explaining the 3 aspects of FLL, and teaching EV3 programs as well as sharing our project ideas and presentations. On top of that, our team hosted an Animal Allies Challenge release kick off at the local library to explain this year’s game to teams.
Coopertition
This season we also focused on Coopertition and connected to many FIRST teams such as learning how to make our team journal from an FRC team, learning how to use a drill from an FTC team, volunteering at an FLL tournament, and supporting Jr. FLL teams at their showcase events. It is fun to work with other teams.
Inspiration
These past 3 years, we have been participating in countless outreach events, such as at the L.A. and O.C. County Fairs, LEGO BrickFest, and Family Science Fairs. Kids and adults are amazed by our robots and the FIRST program.
We also enjoy giving back to communities in US and overseas. For example, we volunteered at Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles and raised money for the American Cancer Society. We also also donated our FLL Kit to children in Ghana.
